Mi TV webcam launched in India with Full HD resolution support
Xiaomi has officially launched its new offering which is basically a webcam for its TVs. Yes, Xiaomi has introduced Mi TV Webcam in India for personal virtual meetings and professional business meetings. It offers full-HD resolution and a 71-degree field of view. Xiaomi’s new webcam comes with built-in remote microphones, making it ideal for mounting on a Smart TV for video calling purposes.

The Mi TV Webcam has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 1,999. The device will be available for purchase via Mi.com, Mi Home and Mi Studio starting June 28. With the launch, the company is looking to take on the OnePlus TV camera, which was launched this month along with the new OnePlus TVs priced at Rs 2,499.

Mi TV Webcam Specifications
The Mi TV webcam is capable of recording videos in Full HD (1080p) at 25 frames per second. The Xiaomi webcam offers a 71-degree field of view and includes dual remote microphones for better visual and audio quality. The microphones are said to capture crystal clear audio up to 4 meters away, which is a safe and comfortable distance between the screen and consumers. In addition, the device also includes a built-in 3D Image Noise Reduction algorithm to suppress noise in any image that appears in low light.

Xiaomi’s Mi TV webcam has a “Simple Plug and Play video” mechanism that allows it to be mounted on a TV or PC. It holds an adjustable magnetic base that allows the device to be seamlessly attached to any metal surface of your device for a firm grip. It comes with a 1.5m detachable USB Type-C port that ensures connectivity across all TVs, laptops and desktops and allows you to swap between Type-C and Type-A cables. Additionally, you can make video calls from your smart TV using Google Duo, but it is compatible not only with Mi TV or Redmi TV, but with any Android TV and all laptops (Windows and macOS). Keeping the user’s privacy in mind, the webcam comes with a physical shutter that adds another layer of security and offers complete security to the users.
